Old-Age Assistance: Children’s Copztnhtions to Aged Parents

چکیده

In early 1953, in a nationwide study of recipients of old-age assistance that was sponsored by the Bureau of Public Assistance, the States collected information concerning the contributions that recipients were receiving from their adult children. The eflect on the old-age assistance program of these contributions and of children’s support of other aged parents is discussed in the following pages.
